Did you know that Sweden celebrates the Day of the Amaryllis every year on November 19th? It's a day when this elegant flower – a symbol of strength, beauty, and elegance – gets to shine. Originally thought up by our Scandinavian colleagues, we think this day should conquer all of Europe. Because seriously, doesn't the Amaryllis deserve its own special day?

Origin

The Day of the Amaryllis was created by Swedish florist organizations to celebrate the start of the Amaryllis season. In Sweden, this flower is the ultimate winter icon: a symbol of light, warmth, and luxury during the darker months. Florists use this day to inspire their customers with new arrangements and color trends.


This special day is important because it doesn't just celebrate the flower itself, but also the craftsmanship of the florist – those creative hands that bring Amaryllis to life in bouquets and arrangements.
